Case study: State of the Nation
In 2003, Opportunity Wales and the eCommerce Innovation Centre, at Cardiff University, conducted a postal survey with over 7,000 Welsh businesses to obtain a detailed picture of their views and usage of eCommerce.
Research and Marketing Plus were commissioned to conduct a postal survey to measure the progress of Welsh businesses in implementing eCommerce.
- Nearly 30,000 businesses across Wales were sent surveys from our in-house mailing department.
- The mailout targeted specific industrial sectors and different sized companies.
- Our advanced barcoding system allowed us to provide regular and accurate updates on returns, and ensured that reminders were sent only to outstanding businesses.
- Bilingual surveys were sent to particular local authorities, and our barcoding system also gave us the ability to note the language preference of each respondent for further correspondence.
